The Harrisburg Book Festival takes place in the heart of Pennsylvania’s state capital, drawing attendees from around the country. While you’re here, enjoy some of the city’s historical, dining, and entertainment sites and attractions.

Five days of festival fun: Wednesday, October 9th to Sunday, October 13th. With author events each day, and children’s programming on Saturday, keep up to date on every announcement!

parking

Free two-hour parking is available around the neighboring Broad Street Market. Limited free parking is in the lot behind the bookstore. Metered street parking is available on 3rd and Verbeke streets, 8am to 7pm Monday-Saturday.

CHILDREN’S DAY

On Saturday, October 12, enjoy a morning of family-friendly programming, including storytime hour, author signings, crafts, character meet-and-greets, and games and activities.

Our most popular event is back and bigger than ever. Every day of the Festival, rain or shine, shop over 30,000 used books in our tent on Verbeke Street, adjacent to the store. Cash and all major credit cards are accepted.
